Overview:
Insight Consultancy are a small but busy marketing agency. Following a period of growth, we are now seeking a new member to join our web development team. You will assist with quality control and testing on WordPress website development and maintenance for a variety of businesses, and work closely with our team of developers, designers and marketers.
This apprenticeship is ideal for anyone with a keen interest in websites, tech and coding, and is perfect if you would like to make your mark on a small, but rapidly growing business!
While we are based in Leicester, our team works remotely across the UK. This is a hybrid or fully remote position, however, if you are based in or around Leicester, our office is open for you to work from.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough testing of our client’s websites following plugin and platform updates, testing across multiple browsers, devices, and platforms.
- Identify issues, bugs, or discrepancies for in-design specifications, functionality, content, layout, or performance.
- Track plugin licenses, renewals, and client invoicing for plugin-related costs.
- Regular auditing of our client websites to check for settings being applied and correctly configured, whilst following an audit framework for new clients.
- Assist with website launch checklists, ensuring all steps are completed before sites go live.
- Add new content, imagery, and pages to websites using the site’s component library.
- Research, test and evaluate plugins or tools to identify the best options for our client’s needs.
- Organize and manage files for ongoing projects, keeping everything accessible and clearly labelled.
Skills & Attributes We're Looking For:
- Genuine passion for web development, tech and coding.
- Ability to work methodologically.
- Keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Open-minded and positive attitude.
- Experience using tools like WordPress, HTML, JavaScript (desirable).
Entry Requirements:
- 7 GCSEs total
- English GCSE grade D or above
- Other 6 GCSEs, including Maths, to be C or above
- You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship in a similar subject
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
