We are seeking a skilled and dynamic SEO Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of search engine optimisation strategies and a passion for driving organic traffic to our website. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective SEO strategies that enhance our online presence and improve our search engine rankings. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and creativity to optimise our content and ensure it aligns with the latest industry trends.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies to improve organic search visibility and rankings.
- Conduct keyword research to identify opportunities for content optimisation.
- Optimise website content, including metadata, headings, and images, to enhance search engine performance.
- Monitor website performance using tools such as Google Search Console and Google Analytics, providing regular reports on key metrics.
- Collaborate with content creators to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into all content produced.
- Manage on-page and off-page SEO initiatives, including link-building strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in SEO, algorithm updates, and industry developments.
- Oversee the implementation of technical SEO improvements, including site speed optimisation and mobile responsiveness.
- Utilise tools like Google Tag Manager for tracking conversions and user interactions effectively.
- Manage social media accounts to support overall digital marketing efforts.
Requirements
- Proven experience in SEO management or a similar role within digital marketing.
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress for effective website management.
- Proficiency in using SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and other relevant platforms.
- Experience with social media management and its impact on SEO performance.
- Ability to analyse data and provide actionable insights based on performance metrics.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in project management.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new techniques.
Day To Day Duties
- Develop and implement SEO strategies that align with the company's marketing goals and objectives.
- Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities for improving search engine rankings and increasing organic traffic.
- Create and manage an editorial calendar that outlines the production of high-quality, SEO-friendly content.
- Perform on-page optimization by optimising website content, meta tags, and URLs for search engines.
- Build high-quality backlinks to the website from reputable sources.
- Monitor and report on website performance using tools like Google Analytics, Ahrefs, and SEMrush.
- Continuously monitor search engine algorithm updates and adapt SEO strategies accordingly.
- Manage and mentor the SEO team, helping them to improve their skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure SEO is integrated into all aspects of the company's marketing efforts, including social media, paid search, and email marketing.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest SEO trends and best practices, attending industry conferences and networking with other professionals in the field.
- Ensure that all SEO activities are compliant with ethical, white-hat SEO practices.
- Work with developers and other technical staff to ensure the website is optimised for search engines.
- Develop and manage budgets for SEO initiatives.
- Analyse data and create reports to demonstrate the impact of SEO efforts on the company's bottom line.
- Continuously improve the SEO function, identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
