Premier Education are now looking for an enthusiastic and IT passionate individual to join us as a Web Developer!
Embedding within the existing IT & Development teams and reporting to the Lead Web Developer,, you will be working on new features and enhancements to our bespoke software platforms, APIs and websites.
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Completion of development projects in line with the quarterly project plan and sprints
- Support of live operational systems
- Bug fixes and end-user support
Person Specification/Experience:
Essential experience:
- PHP 7.4+
- Laravel 8+
- HTML and CSS
- MySQL
- JavaScript
- Git
- Command Line
- Docker & Containerisation Principles
- Source Control
- Agile Development
- SQL
Desirables:
- Writing modern OOP PHP
- Livewire
- Tailwind CSS or Bootstrap
- Vue.JS or React
- Jira & Atlassian software suite
- Experience writing automated unit & feature code tests
- Cloud Hosting such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- GitHub, Gitlab or Bitbucket
- CI/CD Principles
- Building and Documenting Internal and Public APIs
- Consuming third party APIs
- Knowledge of REST API Principles
- Experience with third party integrations
- Microsoft Office, Office 365, Microsoft Teams
Education and Training:
No hard education or training is needed for this role, although online training would be a bonus (e.g. from Laracasts.com)
