We’re looking for a dedicated and skilled Web Developer to take ownership of our business website, ensuring it remains cutting-edge, functional, and aligned with our brand vision.
The Role
As the Web Developer, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and enhancing our business website. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure the website meets business needs, drives engagement, and provides a seamless user experience. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility while still fostering collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the company website, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
- Design and implement new features, updates, and improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Optimize the website for speed, scalability, and SEO best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align the website with marketing and business strategies.
- Monitor and analyse website performance, implementing data-driven improvements.
- Complete ad hoc web work on clients websites from time to time
- Stay informed about emerging web technologies and industry trends to ensure the website remains competitive.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a Web Developer, ideally in a sole or autonomous role.
- Expertise in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design.
- Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress or custom CMS).
- Proficiency in back-end technologies and database management.
- Familiarity with website analytics tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with the capability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with e-commerce platforms or payment gateways.
- Knowledge of digital marketing, SEO, and UX design principles.
- Familiarity with web hosting, domain management, and SSL configuration.
