About Us
Since 1947, the Edinburgh International Festival has existed to promote the exchange of ideas and deepen understanding between cultures through an unparalleled global celebration of exceptional performing arts. We are the original festival and bring some of the most exciting and creative artists working today to audiences from around the world.
Each August, we present the finest and most original performers and ensembles from the worlds of opera, music, dance and theatre over three weeks in venues across the city of Edinburgh. Throughout the rest of the year, we devise bespoke experiences to inspire our audiences and communities, to unlock their creativity and cultural curiosity. Our vision is simple: to provide the deepest experience of the highest quality art for the broadest possible audience.
About the Role
The Edinburgh International Festival is looking for a creative Social Media Officer to join the digital and communications team. We want you to help us present this unparalleled celebration of the performing arts, which brings some of the most exciting and creative artists working today to audiences from around the world.
The Social Media Officer will oversee the day-to-day social media content calendar, working with internal teams on social media requests. You will be key in the promotion of the Edinburgh International Festival brand and programme across digital channels, content, and social media. You will be part of a team representing the Festival online to 245,000 followers; researching, creating and publishing engaging content that builds brand awareness.
You will bring our brand to life online. You will love experimenting, analysing, and reporting on all things content and social. You will shape our content calendar in creative new ways to engage our international community. Experience working for an arts organisation or an interest in the performing arts would be a bonus.
