THE ROLE
We are looking for an innovative, creative, and organized Social Media Coordinator to join our growing team. You will work very closely with the Marketing department to assist with brand needs across social, content creation, influencer relations, and business admin. This role involves leading daily social platform management to ensure a growing, positive community, as well as creating and managing social content. The ideal candidate is social media obsessed and completely tuned into relevant trends, influencers and conversations happening in the beauty space and wider culture. This role will report to the Integrated Marketing Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES
SOCIAL MEDIA COMMUNITY & PLATFORM MANAGEMENT
- Lead on daily social media community management:
- Content & comment monitoring across all 'Ôrəbella platforms: Like and engage with comments, hiding/unhiding/blocking if necessary, collecting our community insights to feed back to the team.
- Timely response to all 'Ôrəbella DMs: Respond promptly to direct messages, addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback with professionalism and brand-appropriate communication, plus feeding community insights and concerns back to the team.
- Community engagement: Foster meaningful connections and conversations by liking and responding to 'Ôrəbella UGC and “friends of the brand” content (influencers, press, other brands, etc).
- Issue escalation: Identify and escalate potential issues or sensitive topics to the appropriate team members, ensuring they are resolved swiftly.
- Brand representation: Maintain the brand’s tone of voice and values in all interactions with the community.
- Post brand content on all social platforms:
- Work closely with the Marketing Team to support on building out monthly social calendars that hit on brand objectives with compelling content.
- Transfer approved planned content from monthly social calendar into a scheduling tool.
- Lead on the posting of daily content on all 'Ôrəbella social channels (Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, Facebook, LinkedIn).
- Source and catalog all UGC for the brand, including obtaining repost and media rights where necessary.
- Build a strong community by sourcing influencers and nurturing those relationships through strategic content partnerships, event inclusion, gifting, personal touches, etc.
CONTENT CREATION
- Stay up to date with competitor marketing channels and social platforms, maintaining knowledge of emerging beauty trends and influencers.
- Share relevant TikTok trends, ideate on how we can participate while maintaining brand positioning and tone of voice.
- Lead on the ideation and execution of content:
- Create and produce low-fi motion content, mainly for TikTok.
- Create the branded Instagram stories and templates.
- Includes post conception, content shoot production, starring in content and content editing.
- Understand brand and brand founder’s taste, tone of voice, interests, values, and approach to best support and create authentic content.
TEAM ADMIN SUPPORT
- Assist with various marketing-related administrative tasks including organizing files, updating calendars, prepping for in-person events.
- Help maintain the organization of our Google Drive.
- Order and send product from our shipping center as needed.
- Prepare as needed for brand shoots and activations and support any and all team needs during these events.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field
- 2+ years of Marketing experience desired, Beauty industry experience of any kind preferred
- Creative with a strong interest in beauty trends and social media, TikTok obsessed
- Strong knowledge of the influencer landscape and the competitive beauty / celebrity market
- Can shoot, edit and star in low-fi content, both stills and videos
- Have adept understanding of media management including file types and software formats
- Basic understanding of CapCut, Canva, and Adobe Creative Cloud (esp. Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- An extremely savvy Instagram and TikTok user, an understanding of in-platform tools, metrics and platform updates
- Proficient in Google Suite
- Self-starter with the ability to initiate and drive projects to completion
- Daily availability for social media posting and management to ensure consistent engagement
- Social and friendly personality
- Action-oriented, comfortable “rolling up sleeves”, no task is too small or large mentality
- Willing and able to travel and attend brand launches and events
