WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
An internal communications executive to support our busy team while a colleague is on maternity leave. During this 14-month fixed-term contract, you’ll help shape and tell the Amex GBT story to inform and inspire the best team in travel. You’re willing to roll up your sleeves and pitch in with the many essential-behind-the-scenes tasks to keep the internal communications machine running.
WHAT YOU WOULD DO:
Create content for a range of internal communications channels and media, including writing intranet posts and emails.
Support video creation, such as scheduling the videographer, securing the talent, arranging filming venues and looking after all logistics.
Create presentation decks.
Contribute to the internal communications editorial calendar and support content requests.
Assist other team members with ordering and distributing prizes for contests.
Support team with designing and delivering comms plans and lead own comms projects.
Coordinate content and channels for leadership communications, e.g., town halls, videos.
Track metrics and produce reports, showing the impact and effectiveness of internal comms efforts.
Help with the administrative aspects of our intranet, The Lounge, and email distribution system.
Support team with project coordination, meetings and reporting.
WHAT WE WOULD IDEALLY LIKE YOU TO HAVE:
Some experience working in an internal communication team.
A thirst for learning and desire to get involved in all aspects of internal communications.
Solid writing skills, creating content quickly and accurately.
Influencing skills, with a talent for managing many stakeholders.
Willingness to work as part of a tight, high-performing global team where time zones don’t matter but staying in touch does. Experience in working in hybrid or fully remote teams useful.
A knack for problem-solving and improving processes. You are not afraid to challenge the norm or a few rules.
Great tech skills for a range of desktop apps, social media, content management systems and communication platforms.
Superb attention to detail, producing work to the highest standards.
Exceptional planning powers with a focus on delivering on your commitments.
Resilience and flexibility; you’re a self-starter who can handle an unclear brief.
LOCATION:
Based in London area. Flexible location with some in-office presence expected.
Additional, preferred experience:
Experience of video production and graphic design processes (basic Photoshop skills a plus)
Knowledge of intranet content management systems.
