Are you passionate about social media and creating impactful, engaging content? University of Gloucestershire is on the hunt for a creative Social Media Marketing Officer to manage and grow our digital presence and help to recruit students.
About the role:
- Run our social media channels, ensuring timely and relevant engagement.
- Devise innovative social media strategies alongside the Content and Brand Manager.
- Craft compelling content (paid and organic) to inspire audiences throughout the academic cycle.
- Develop integrated campaigns to boost student recruitment and university visibility.
- Analyse performance data to report the impact of campaigns and drive improvement.
- Stay ahead of social media trends, championing innovation in the Higher Education sector and work with student ambassadors to co-ordinate ambassador led content
What We’re Looking For:
- A degree or equivalent experience in social media marketing.
- Proven experience in implementing social media strategies and campaigns.
- Experience in creating short form content for TikTok and Instagram reels
- Someone who can work independently, use their initiative and build up good relationships with stakeholders
- Good copywriting skills tailored to diverse audiences and platforms.
- A proactive team player with excellent communication, IT, and problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to inclusivity and creating a welcoming environment for all.
Desirable: Experience in Higher Education marketing, agency work, or skills in design, photography, and videography.

This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will be expected to work 3 days a week on campus.
