Position Overview
To plan, deliver and evaluate marketing campaigns aimed at growing, retaining and renewing Ciarb’s membership.
To deliver campaigns that promote membership, sell Ciarb’s products and services, encourage engagement, and focus on the value of membership.
To work with colleagues across the team and from other teams to ensure campaigns are integrated across channels and across customer journeys.
Responsible for digital marketing, using CRM and data capabilities to segment, target, track and optimise campaigns and automated customer communications.
Key Responsibilities
Campaigns
- Work closely with the Head of Member Engagement and Communications and other internal colleagues to implement and evaluate integrated acquisition, retention, renewal and win-back campaigns in line with organisational and team objectives. This includes:
- Planning, delivering and evaluating email campaigns, using every opportunity to iteratively test and improve performance.
- Responsibility for planning, delivering and evaluating paid digital advertising campaigns (excluding paid social media).
- Using the CRM and database capabilities to inform campaigns and automate communications.
- Liaise with Branch colleagues to provide marketing support as required.
- Use data and audience insight to inform campaign tactics.
- Analyse and segment data to target and personalise campaigns.
- Project manage campaigns from start to finish.
- Optimise activities on an ongoing basis, adjusting them as needed to ensure maximum impact, sharing insights with colleagues to improve overall learning.
Reporting and analytics
- Monitor campaign performance on an ongoing basis, reporting progress internally.
- Adopt a continuous learning approach, optimising activities to ensure maximum impact and iterative improvements.
- Deliver campaigns within agreed budgets and deadlines.
- Manage relevant finance admin as necessary, including raising purchase orders.
Experience, Knowledge and Skills
- Strong practical digital marketing skills, particularly in:
- Email – must have experience of using a bulk email despatch system [Essential]
- CRM – must have experience of using CRM to, in particular, automate communications and segment audiences [Essential]
- Data – must have experience of using data to inform, drive and evaluate campaigns [Essential]
- Optimisation – to have experience of optimising web pages [Desirable]
- Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to tailor text for use in different channels and for different audiences. [Essential]
- Excellent verbal communication skills. [Essential]
- Demonstrable experience of B2B marketing. [Essential]
- Must be comfortable working with data using CRM and Excel to prepare and analyse datasets. [Essential]
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and work within given budget limits. [Essential]
- Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external colleagues at all levels. [Essential]
- Ability to manage own workload, running multiple campaigns simultaneously. [Essential]
- Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy of marketing materials, datasets, and campaign evaluation. [Essential]
- Results-driven, presenting and using insights gained to inform future marketing activities and build team knowledge. [Essential]
- An interest in and aptitude for learning new technologies and techniques. [Essential]
- Experience of marketing to global audiences. [Desirable]
- SEO skills. [Desirable]
- Experience of working within a membership organisation. [Desirable]
- Professional qualification(s) in marketing. [Desirable]
Qualifications
- Degree level education or equivalent (ideally in Marketing and / or Communications). [Desirable]
- Evidence of further study and/or additional qualifications in marketing, communications, digital marketing [Desirable].

Salary: £30-35,000 per annum depending on experience
