Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Commercial to lead the commercial strategy across our portfolio of hotels and venues. This key role requires a proven leader with deep industry knowledge, exceptional leadership skills, and a strong commercial background.
Our portfolio includes a diverse range of hotels and F&B venues catering to various markets, offering unique guest experiences. This role involves overseeing the commercial performance and strategic growth across these properties to drive revenue and enhance profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing
· Develop and execute marketing strategies and plans tailored to each property.
· Drive digital presence and demand through SEO, PPC, and social media channels.
· Build a direct customer acquisition strategy through CRM to minimise third-party commission costs.
· Strengthen brand positioning to attract and retain target customers.
· Ensure maximum value from partnerships and brand program participation.
Sales
· Create and execute sales strategies to optimise occupancy rates, increase revenue, and enhance visibility.
· Develop new business opportunities, including corporate contracts and partnerships.
· Collaborate with teams to improve sales performance.
Revenue Management
· Implement strategies to maximise room and ancillary revenue.
· Optimise pricing, inventory, and distribution channels.
· Identify growth opportunities through upselling, cross-selling, and guest experience enhancements.
· Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and guest feedback to refine strategies.
IT/Technology
· Ensure systems are fit for purpose and deliver maximum operational efficiency.
Reporting
· Oversee all commercial reporting activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
· Collaborate with finance to manage budgets, forecasts, and cost-control measures.
· Introduce KPIs to measure the effectiveness of strategies.
· Lead the weekly Commercial Meeting, ensuring timely action completion.
Team Leadership and Development
· Foster a high-performance culture, developing team members through training and mentorship.
· Encourage innovation and continuous improvement.
· Monitor team performance against KPIs.
