We are looking for a Social Media Producer to join our Hits Radio team in London.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role within the social team at one of the most exciting radio stations in the UK. Hits Radio is aimed at a thirty-something, almost grown-up audience who love the biggest hits and the biggest throwbacks.
In this role, we’re looking for someone who’s always in the know when it comes to pop culture—whether it’s the biggest hits, the TV shows and movies everyone’s talking about, or the latest trends on TikTok. You’ll need to have your finger on the pulse of what’s trending, know how different platforms work, and understand what gets our audience engaging. Tapping into these cultural moments and knowing exactly what resonates is key to making an impact in this role.
As a Social Media Producer, you will be responsible for engaging with the Hits Radio audience across all social media platforms, owning the station’s social media content calendars, and developing and producing content that reflects the Hits Radio brand. You’ll work closely with the Social Lead and Senior Social Media Producer to create exciting and engaging content to help grow and elevate our platforms.
Collaboration is at the heart of Hits Radio, so you’ll also work with teams across marketing, programming, commercial, and music. If you love creating content that stands out, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are ready to develop your social media expertise, this is the role for you!
What You'll Be Doing:
- Own Hits Radio’s social media content calendars, ensuring timely and consistent posting.
- Develop and produce engaging social media content, including videos, graphics, photos, and written posts tailored to Hits Radio’s audience.
- Engage with the Hits Radio audience across all social media platforms, responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure all content aligns with Hits Radio’s brand guidelines and maintains a consistent voice and style.
- Create engaging content for platforms like TikTok and Instagram optimising for audience engagement and platform-specific requirements.
- Monitor and analyse social media trends, audience behaviours, and platform updates to ensure Hits Radio’s social media presence is always fresh and effective.
- Assist with shoots and content days, including artist interviews and bigger station campaigns.
- Work closely with presenters and guests, providing clear direction to capture strong social content.
- Collaborate with internal teams on station-wide projects and social campaigns.
- Flexibility to work occasionally outside regular hours, recognising the reactive and time-sensitive nature of social media.
Person Specification:
- Proven experience in social media content creation, with a strong understanding of how to engage audiences across platforms like TikTok and Instagram.
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, and CapCut, with the ability to create compelling videos, graphics, and social content.
- Excellent knowledge of current social media trends, platform nuances, and how to tailor content for each to drive engagement.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to write in the Hits Radio tone of voice and craft copy that resonates with our audience.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, content calendars, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable shooting and filming content on mobile devices, with a keen eye for visual storytelling.
- A creative and proactive mindset, able to adapt to changes quickly and spot opportunities for fresh content.
- Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to work with presenters, guests, and the wider team to bring content to life.
- A genuine passion for music, pop culture, and the Hits Radio audience, staying on top of the latest trends in both music and entertainment.
