DK and Sourcebooks are looking for a creative Digital Marketing Executive to drive awareness and communicate with fans of Sourcebooks bestselling authors and books across the adult, children’s and fiction lists.
Sourcebooks publish Frieda McFadden, Scarlett St.Clair and Laura Nowlin and a key part of this role is to create more excitement across the key books. We're seeking an organised self-starter who is passionate about the publishing industry and ready to take on an exciting challenge. The ideal candidate will be highly engaged with the book community across social media, confident with content creation, and eager to grow our social presence. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on our brand's growth and connect with readers in meaningful ways.
Key Accountabilities:
- Deliver digital marketing campaigns on both a title specific and brand level
- Manage the Sourcebooks social media channels in the UK, including Tiktok, Instagram, Threads and X.
- Ability to manage the entire content creation process, from ideation to execution, producing compelling content that fosters consumer engagement
- Manage Sourcebooks UK TikTok channel, create, edit and update video content
- Create social media assets to be used on social channels
- Remain up to date on social media trends across platforms and new emerging social
- media opportunities
- Engage with readers and respond to messages and comments across channels, maintaining brand tone
- Assist in the management of influencer relationships
- Email marketing - write, create and schedule engaging newsletters to be sent directly to readers
Required Experience:
- Knowledge of digital marketing in the publishing industry or experience within online book communities, ideally in romance communities
- Experience with a variety of social media platforms necessary, especially TikTok and Instagram, along with an understanding of the difference in approach and tone needed for engagement on each platform. Track record of maintaining accounts and growing followers
- Experience with multitasking and maintaining multiple social media presences
- Highly creative and a strong awareness of social media trends, particularly within the book community.
- Confident in producing content and skilled in video content creation and photography.
- Experience with design tools such as Canva or Photoshop
- Strong communication and copywriting skills
- Experience of working in a fast paced environment with excellent time management
In this newly created position, you will have the freedom to shape Sourcebooks social media presence from the ground up in the UK. You'll be working with a variety of titles and bestselling authors across different genres, allowing you to flex your creative muscles and stay engaged with diverse content.
