UCL’s Department of Computer Science (CS) is a top-ranked Computer Science Department in the UK. In the 2021 Research Excellence Framework (REF) evaluation, UCL Computer Science was ranked second in the UK for research power and first in England.
The Student Recruitment Marketing Manager will deliver marketing, student recruitment and conversion activities for the Department of Computer Science’s suite of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Working as part of the Department’s Marketing and Communications Team, the role holder will develop a strong pipeline of high-quality applications and enrolments throughout the student journey, ensuring recruitment targets and strategic objectives are met.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- creating and executing marketing plans and campaigns
- planning and delivering student recruitment events (in-person and online)
- managing the department’s student ambassador scheme
- developing marketing materials and digital content for the website and social media
- updating and developing compelling copy for the prospectus and CRM emails
- conducting marketing research
- analysing and reporting on the effectiveness of marketing activity.
The role will suit an experienced, creative, and strategically minded marketing professional with a track record of developing and delivering top-quality student recruitment and marketing campaigns/plans.
You will have experience of leveraging digital platforms, delivering a range of events, and creating compelling content to attract a diverse pool of high-quality applicants.
The ideal candidate will have excellent project management and copywriting skills, the ability to effectively manage a busy workload, and the interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders across the department and the wider university.
