Role purpose
onefinestay is seeking an experienced and passionate leader to drive our digital paid acquisition strategy cross-channel. To lead on all aspects of strategy and execution via global search channels, social, native & display / referral to onefinestay.com
Focused on driving and delivering direct bookings, optimisation around ROI and profitability to the core business and delivering the brand to new and existing audiences alike.
Supporting the business on growth plans in delivering commercial numbers, targets and ambitions, the role will include budget management, team management and agency / vendor management. The successful candidate will act as subject matter expert in providing guidance to senior and executive members on how best we can deliver on expectations and maximise performance.
We’re looking for
An individual who can translate the world of media buying and performance channels to a wider stakeholder group. Setting out roadmaps and milestones to our plans, and supporting the best approach in measurement and reporting to showcase the positive work made to improve our results and growth levers.
Proven and demonstrable expertise specifically in SEA and SEO and bringing these two channels into a single view / holistic channel approach. Able to navigate the world of programmatic media buying via DSPs and proving commercial success in META and Native advertising.
An analytical mindset with ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies. You will be working closely with many internal and external stakeholders, so having strong communication and collaboration skills are a must.
Experienced in managing budgets and pacing of spend effectively / efficiently and optimising media spreads cross-channel for best results.
Duties and responsibilities
SEA / Social / Native / Display & Referral – 30%
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy tailored to key markets, audiences and business objectives.
- Campaign Management: Manage all campaigns end-to-end, including campaign structure, ad copy, bidding strategies, and performance monitoring.
- Optimization: Continuously test and optimize ad placements, audience targeting, bidding, and creative to maximize ROI.
- Performance Monitoring: Use advanced analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Ads, Looker) to track campaign performance, report on key metrics, and recommend improvements.
- Budget Management: Plan, allocate, and optimize the budget for activities to ensure cost-efficiency and ROI.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) – 30%
- Technical & On-Page SEO: Develop and execute a robust SEO strategy, focusing on technical SEO fixes, keyword optimization, and improving user experience.
- Content Alignment: Collaborate with content producers to ensure alignment with SEO best practices, including keyword integration and intent-focused content development.
- Performance Analysis: Regularly monitor and report on SEO performance metrics (e.g., rankings, traffic, CTRs) using tools like Google Search Console and Ahrefs.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay ahead of algorithm updates, industry trends, and competitor strategies to adjust the SEO roadmap as needed.
- Agency Transition: Oversee and eventually internalize SEO management currently performed by external agencies.
- Link Building: Develop and execute an effective link-building strategy to boost domain authority and search rankings.
Team development and mentoring – 20%
- Fostering a centre of excellence internally to support functions in the business with goals and objectives through team and function
- Developing and mentoring team members with direct line management responsibilities
- Recruitment of team members where opportunities arise
Reporting and measurement – 20%
- Management over the reporting for performance channels under remit
- Presentation of regular reporting to internal and external stakeholders
- Developing new reporting and measurement tools & frameworks alongside collaboration with other stakeholders charged with data and analytics
Qualifications and experience
- 5+ years of experience in media buying, in particular SEA, META & Display with hands-on expertise in campaign management and strategy development. in-house experience vs. agency.
- 5+ years of experience in managing an SEO function in-house / with freelancers and/or developers and proven experience and demonstrable skills and success
- Strong track record of improving search visibility, traffic, and conversions through paid and organic search.
- Proficient in web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Data Studio, and other reporting tools.
- Background in e-commerce, lead gen, hospitality, or travel industries is desirable.
- Experience in rolling out multi-lingual sites in respect to SEO and campaign development for global marketing a bonus
