Job Purpose
At Hershesons, we aim to transform digital growth and innovation, focusing on achieving ambitious targets. As the Digital Marketing Manager, you will lead our online growth strategy with the bold goal of doubling turnover, in line with maintaining profitability, within 12–18 months. This hands-on role demands creativity, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment. You will oversee a mix of internal teams and external agencies, driving success through strategic use of digital marketing channels.
Role & Responsibilities
E-commerce
- Oversee, maintain, and optimise the website for performance and user experience.
- Manage visual merchandising: design data-driven landing pages and oversee product launches.
- Develop strategies for email marketing, upsells, and promotional activity to boost revenue.
- Leverage analytics tools to measure and refine the customer journey.
- Implement SEO best practices and continuously enhance site visibility.
Digital Marketing
- Oversee all digital marketing activities, including PPC, Google Shopping, and paid social campaigns.
- Act as the primary contact for external agencies managing PR, affiliates, and paid media.
- Strategically manage affiliate relationships, ensuring aligned promotional plans and high-quality assets.
- Collaborate with agencies and internal teams to refine campaigns and monitor performance metrics.
- Develop and execute a cohesive content strategy across social media channels.
Team Leadership
- Manage internal and external teams, ensuring alignment and accountability.
- Foster a culture of ambition, creativity, and analytical rigor.
- Be hands-on in day-to-day tasks, adapting to challenges as they arise.
Growth & Strategy
- Drive the overarching strategy to double turnover through aggressive digital growth initiatives.
- Analyse and act on performance data to optimise campaigns and identify opportunities.
- Develop innovative solutions and continuously improve processes to achieve results.
Data Analysis
- Performance Measurement: Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track key metrics, optimise campaigns, and maximize ROI.
- Customer Insights: Analyse customer journeys to inform personalised strategies and improve engagement.
- Strategic Growth: Leverage data to identify high-performing channels, allocate budgets effectively, and drive initiatives to double turnover.
- SEO Optimisation: Use performance data to enhance site visibility and competitiveness in search rankings.
- Collaborative Leadership: Promote data-driven decision-making across teams and agencies for alignment and accountability.
About You
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in a similar digital marketing or e-commerce role.
- Digital Expertise: Proven experience managing PPC, Google Shopping, SEO, and social media campaigns.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to dig into data, measure performance, and make data-driven decisions.
- Startup Mentality: Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a willingness to get your hands dirty.
- Skills: Strong commercial acumen, creative thinking, and attention to detail.
- Attitude: Brimming with energy and enthusiasm, driven by big ambitions, and always ready to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in
