Job Purpose Summary:
The Events and Marketing Assistant plays a key role in assisting in delivering Hamleys portfolio of marketing activities and events in the UK. They will support the implementation and administration of a calendar of in-store events. They’ll assist in the creation of compelling content to communicate through multiple digital channels incentivising consumers to engage with the brand in-store and online. All of which support the overall business objectives of increasing communication reach to drive footfall and increase sales. The Events and Marketing Assistant will be required to work closely with multiple stakeholders to coordinate campaigns and events.
Overall Purpose of Role:
- Support delivery of the UK Marketing, Events and Communication plans.
- Assist the development of the experiential activations across all UK store formats
- Support the marketing coordinators in the delivery of end to end marketing campaigns with a key focus on administration.
Job Role:
- Assist in the production of print and digital assets including vouchers, POS and branded materials.
- Support marketing team with artwork approvals including liaison with key brand partners and internal teams, ensuring deadlines are met and progress is tracked.
- Support marketing team to upload all event information & assets to the website.
- Control the execution of character Meet & Greet visits; helping populate and disseminate store briefing documents, liaise with brands and stores to ensure delivery of costumes and merchandise.
- Identify and develop events and marketing opportunities for regional, outlet and travel stores. Secure coverage on partner marketing platforms.
- Assist in idea generation for in-store experiential activities and marketing campaigns.
- Populate all events on marketing calendar and communicate internally.
- Sourcing and ensuring the delivery of event materials e.g. props, costume, print collateral.
- Contribute to key internal communication documents e.g. Trade presentations, monthly campaign packs.
- Develop internal communications plans to celebrate new campaigns.
- Assist in the evaluation of campaigns e.g. tracking reach, voucher redemptions.
- Ad hoc competitor and trend tracking.
- Assist in financial administration e.g tracking costs, Raising POs and processing invoices

Specific Job Skills:
- At least 6 months experience in an office environment,
- Experience in organising events (desirable)

- Comfortable using social media platforms
- Willingness to work outside normal office hours on occasional events
Computer Skills:

Education:
- Marketing, Event Management related degree (Desirable)
