Insight Global is seeking Financial Data Analyst for a large financial services company in Charlotte, NC. This candidate will be working in the CFO Data Management organization, specifically within the Traded Products organization. This group is responsible for ensuring data used in key internal and regulatory reports (e.g., FFIEC 101, FRB 2052a, US/DA LCR, etc.) is timely, accurate, and properly controlled. This role will be responsible for supporting Treasury users of Traded Products data (securities, derivatives, collateral, etc), and is focused on driving strategic efforts to resolve data issues and implement data and process improvements. Core functions are: knowing the data, sourcing the data and controlling the data. This includes analysis, design, data derivations, control design, translation of business requirements, issue management, audit/governance support and process/design.
We are seeking candidates with strong Global Markets/Corporate Treasury experience, with strong knowledge within financial traded products. Ideally this person needs to have a strong background working with as many of the following traded products: derivatives, securities, secured funding, foreign exchange, commodities, repo, reverse repo, stock borrow, stock loan, repurchase agreements, etc.). The position will require extensive ad hoc research and commentary for daily outliers impacting regulatory reporting. This position will be on site in their Uptown Charlotte location 3 days of the week, and then working remotely for two days of the week. The primary responsibilities of the group include the following:
- Manage current state assessment of legacy data warehouses and applications with an eye towards migration to target state
- Perform daily attribution recons for repurchase(repo)/reverse repo/stock loan/stock borrow positions across multiple platforms and products
- Liaise with Corporate Treasury LOBs and Technology Teams to provide commentary of material differences
- Work with internal business lines to support ongoing initiative work and ad hoc research requests
- Test new data populations as they are added to the reporting database
- Enhance existing controls to address changes to data populations
- Assist in development of strategy / approach for DM Process Documentation project
- Will support ad hoc initiatives and projects for CFO Data Management
Must Have:
- 3+ years of experience of working within data/financial analysis within banking
- Experience working within Global Markets, Corporate Treasury, Middle Office experience
- Experience working with traded products – derivatives, securities, secured funding, foreign exchange, commodities, repo, reverse repo, stock borrow, stock loan, repurchase agreements, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- SQL experience OR advanced Excel/VBA skills
Nice to Have:
- SQL skills
- Ability to understand and explain PNL movements and substantiate data to the Balance Sheet / General Ledger
- Prior Wells Fargo, Ally, Truist, TD Bank, or Bank of America experience
