Overview
We are a construction company based in London and we are seeking a creative and dynamic Social Media Specialist to join our team.
This role is pivotal in enhancing our online presence and engaging with our audience across various social media platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of public relations and social media management, enabling them to craft compelling content that resonates with our target demographic.
This is a part time role, and would suit someone looking to work from home.
Duties
- Develop and implement effective social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.
- Create, curate, and manage published content (images, video, written) across all social media platforms.
- Work with our site and office staff to create content
- Monitor social media channels for trends, insights, and customer feedback, responding promptly to inquiries and comments.
- Collaborate with our Business Development team to align social media efforts with broader marketing campaigns and report back what is trending and where to focus marketing efforts.
- Analyse performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of social media initiatives and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging platforms to ensure the brand remains relevant in the digital landscape.
- Assist in managing public relations efforts through social media channels, promoting positive brand narratives.
- Take content from projects and sites and edit them to post to various social media platforms
- Create photos and videos based on site content
- Schedule posts across various platforms to correspond with each other
- Be able to write highly effective captions, blog posts suitable to the websites being used
- Monitor the company brand across the internet and come up with suitable marketing techniques and arrange advertising where needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in social media management or a related field.
- Knowledge of Meta Business Suite.
- Have worked with/on LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, and any other social media platforms which may be relevant.
- Strong knowledge of public relations principles and practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with customers and other businesses.
- Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative content ideas that engage audiences.
- Knowledge of graphic design and editing and be able to provide references or examples.
- Knowledge of the construction industry is an advantage.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
