The Role
We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer with strong expertise in PHP and Laravel to help us build scalable, high-performance applications for our global event hotel booking platform. As part of our engineering team, you’ll lead technical initiatives, collaborate on architectural decisions, optimise system performance, and mentor junior developers. Key Responsibilities
- Architect and Develop: Design and implement scalable, high-performance solutions for our event hotel booking platform.
- Lead Technical Projects: Take ownership of technical initiatives and contribute to architectural decisions that shape our platform’s future.
- Code Review and Mentorship: Provide feedback on code quality and guide junior developers to promote best practices.
- Optimise Performance: Fine-tune application performance, database queries, and caching strategies.
- Implement Security Best Practices: Ensure the platform adheres to the highest security standards.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with product managers and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver solutions.
- Support and Troubleshoot: Participate in on-call rotations and resolve production issues efficiently.

- Backend: PHP (Laravel), Python, MySQL/PostgreSQL
- Frontend: JavaScript (React), HTML5, CSS3
- Tools: AWS, Kubernetes, Redis, Docker, GraphQL, CI/CD pipeline
- Integration: RESTful APIs, XML, JSON, Curl
Your Expertise
We are looking for someone with:
- 5+ years of experience in PHP development, with a deep understanding of Laravel and best practices.
- Expertise in Eloquent ORM, database management, and performance tuning (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
- Strong skills in front-end technologies, including JavaScript (ES6+), React, and building responsive UI.
- Experience with API development and integration, including RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and message queues (e.g., Redis, RabbitMQ, SQS).
- Proven ability to make architectural decisions that ensure scalability and maintainability.
- A solid understanding of web security best practices and monitoring tools.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Strong mentorship skills, with the ability to guide and grow junior developers.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
