This role is offered on a hybrid contract giving you the opportunity to also work from home three days a week.

As a Social Media Executive, you will play a key role in shaping Comic Relief’s online presence and driving meaningful engagement with diverse audiences. Working across our year-round social media activity, including flagship campaigns like Red Nose Day, you will create and deliver innovative, audience-first content to grow channels, increase reach, and deepen connections with supporters. With a focus on producing bold and engaging 365 content, you will ensure that Comic Relief’s platforms remain impactful, creative, and aligned with our mission.

Develop and implement an organic content strategy that drives engagement and channel growth across platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
Create engaging, platform-specific content with entertaining and impactful messaging, crafting everything from snappy tweets to engaging LinkedIn posts or TikTok videos.
Work on high-profile campaigns such as Red Nose Day while also producing dynamic, year-round content that keeps audiences engaged.
Identify and respond to opportunities through social listening and trend analysis, ensuring Comic Relief stays at the forefront of digital conversations.
Continuously test, refine, and enhance content and strategy, using performance insights to inform decisions and maintain excellence across all platforms.
Contribute to brainstorming sessions and idea generation for creative campaigns and ongoing content, ensuring bold and innovative thinking.
Deliver performance reports, providing actionable insights to help refine social media strategies.
Lead daily community management, engaging with audiences authentically and fostering meaningful conversations that deepen relationships.
Build and strengthen partnerships with funded organisations, engaging with their content and exploring opportunities for collaboration.
Work closely with designers to produce standout visual assets that enhance brand alignment and elevate campaigns.
Essential Qualities:
Creative: A passionate team player with a love for producing bold, impactful content.
Social Media Expert: Deep understanding of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube, with proven experience in creating engaging, audience-led content.
Trend-Driven: Excellent research skills and the ability to identify emerging trends, viral moments, and shareable content opportunities.
Analytically Minded: Proficient in tools like Facebook Business Manager, Twitter Analytics, and Sprout Social, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
Audience-Focused: Strong understanding of what resonates with different audiences and the creativity to deliver it.
Community Builder: Exceptional community management skills, with a warm, approachable, and engaging tone that fosters connection.
Innovative Thinker: Always ready to challenge the status quo, test new ideas, and bring fresh perspectives to the team.
Experience with paid social campaigns, particularly Facebook and Twitter ads.
Ability to create visual assets using tools such as Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, or Premiere Pro.
