We’re seeking an analytical and strategic UK-based Paid Media Manager with a deep understanding of ecommerce, capable of driving continuous improvement across paid media channels. Working with our diverse portfolio of clients, you’ll make strategic decisions to continually evolve campaigns, while collaborating across teams to drive holistic performance. Your role will include setting up, optimising, and reporting on paid marketing activities with an ecommerce-focus, ensuring budgets are effectively managed and targets are consistently achieved. You’ll have the full support of the Head of Marketing and wider team, with longer term opportunities to grow the team and your position within it.
Ideally we'd like someone UK-based, who would be able to fairly easily visit Edinburgh for occasional meetings and social events, so preference would be given to someone geographically closer to Edinburgh.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute paid media strategies across platforms, focusing on achieving revenue and ROI goals for our ecommerce clients.
- Set up, manage and optimise campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, and more.
- Develop and commission creative assets to support client campaigns.
- Analyse campaign and analytics data deeply, identifying trends and key insights to drive ongoing optimisation and strategic decision-making.
- Report on campaign performance, providing actionable insights for both clients and internal teams.
- Conduct A/B tests and experiments to continuously improve performance and find new growth opportunities, even in mature accounts.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to integrate paid media efforts with wider digital strategies, understanding how paid media fits into the ecommerce ecosystem.
- Manage budgets, forecast performance, and ensure accurate financial reporting and reconciliation.
- Conduct competitor research and market analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and opportunities.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in tracking, analytics, and platform technologies like Google Ads, ensuring best practices are applied.
About you
- To be considered, you’ll need at least 2 years of experience managing paid media campaigns across multiple platforms (Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.).
- eCommerce experience is strongly preferred. You’ll need to demonstrate a deep understanding of ecom-specific campaign types like Shopping & Pmax.
- You’ll be able to deeply analyse performance data and make strategic decisions to continuously improve accounts.
- You’ll have experience of data feed management and optimisation.
- Experience with analytics tools like GA4 is essential, while tag management / tracking solutions like Google Tag Manager would be preferred.
- You’ll stay up-to-date with trends and developments in paid media, tracking, and ecommerce technology.
- Strong organisation, teamwork and communication skills are essential. You’ll largely manage your own workload and know when to ask for support or guidance from the team around you.
- Attention to detail is critical, while a creative eye and copywriting skills will be beneficial.
- A holistic mindset is preferred. You should appreciate that digital success is built on the right mix of complementary channels and website performance.
- Experience with ecommerce platforms like Shopify, Magento or BigCommerce is beneficial but not essential.
