Blink SEO is a growing, innovative agency specialising in the application of data science to eCommerce digital marketing.
We’re looking for an eCommerce CRM or retention marketing manager to come into the business and take charge of current email marketing campaigns, and our retention marketing offering as a whole. We’re looking to develop what is currently a limited service more completely with SEO, content marketing and paid advertising into a more complete eCommerce digital marketing solution.
Successful applicants must:
- be able to plan and execute email marketing campaigns for eCommerce brands
- understand and be able to report intelligently on campaign results and ROI
- have some client-facing or account management experience
- have strong copywriting skills
- have managed projects with multiple stakeholders
- have good experience with major email marketing platforms, for example Klayvio, MailChimp and Omnisend
And preferably:
- will have experience in email tracking and attribution
- will have experience with SMS marketing
We are a fully remote agency and will be accepting applications for this role from around the UK.
This is primarily a full-time role although we will consider particularly strong part-time applicants.

Areas
These are the general areas of knowledge and expertise we expect this role to cover:
eCommerce Email Marketing
- Creating and executing email marketing campaigns and strategies from start to finish, specifically for eCommerce brands.
- Carefully curating and segmenting email lists.
- Working with a range of the most well-known email marketing platforms, including Klayvio, Mailchimp and Omnisend.
- At times, designing email creative including imagery and graphics where necessary.
Account Management
- Acting as main point of contact for email marketing clients and will be able to communicate with clients with clarity and confidence.
- Understanding how to maintain strong client relationships.
- Making strong, independent judgements when it comes to managing client expectations.
- Sharing and explaining results; telling stories with data.
Project Management
- You will be fairly independent when it comes to email marketing delivery.
- However, email marketing projects will need to be carefully and transparently managed so that we can understand resources and record activity across all accounts.
- We have additional analytical and content resources in the team that may need to be managed as email marketing operations expand in complexity. We expect the person in this role to be able to coordinate projects involving multiple team members and client points of contact.
Task Management
- Email marketing tasks will exist among tasks allocated across multiple departments and projects, and will need to be managed in the same way – for example, task statuses and other details must be kept up to date to maintain transparency.
- You will given independence to allocate and manage your own tasks with additional support from the Operations Director when it comes to workload, capacity and prioritisation.
Copywriting
- You’ll ideally have writing skills strong enough to be applied to various content delivery tasks.
- Copy delivery may be expected as part of this role, depending on available content delivery resources in the team.
- Content delivery will usually be for revenue-generating eCommerce category and product pages.
Projects
- You will initially be managing a small number of email marketing projects.
- These usually run on a monthly cycle, based on pre-created content calendars.
- You will be responsible for creating these content calendars, delivering and editing the content, setting up the email sequences and flows, and then reporting on the results.
- We would like to expand this to 10–12 active email marketing projects, some of which will be upsold to existing SEO clients but most will be new accounts with email marketing one of several separate retainers under a full-service digital marketing offering.
Deliverables
- Deliverables are the specific, tangible things we aim to deliver during each quarter of an ongoing project.
- When it comes to email marketing this will usually involve the planning and execution of specific campaigns and the creation of automated flows
- However, it may also include items related to tracking, reporting, and other activity of value.
Tasks
- You will be responsible for both allocating and completing tasks.
- All tasks are connected to deliverables. Our planning cycles are quarterly, and we plan deliverables before allocating the tasks needed to complete those deliverables.
Contract
- Salary for this role is up to £36,750 at 32 hours a week (full time).
