Job Purpose:
The role is responsible for managing all of Lucy Electric’s digital activity whilst also playing a key part in shaping the overall digital strategy. This includes collaborating with colleagues across the Lucy Group to create and execute a global marketing plan aimed at business growth, prioritising and aligning target customers, and developing effective messaging to position Lucy Electric’s products and solutions.
The role involves close collaboration with the Marketing Director, Segment teams, Product managers and Regional Marketing teams to collectively create a recommendation and development plan to evolve and migrate Lucy Electric’s entire digital presence. It combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to drive successful outcomes.
Business Overview:
Lucy Electric is an international leader in intelligent secondary power distribution products and solutions, with features such as remote operation and monitoring. Linking energy generation to consumption, the business specialises in high-performance medium and low-voltage switchgear for utility, industrial and commercial applications.
Job Context:
The creation of an integrated cohesive digital strategy is fundamental to the effective communications of the whole Lucy Electric portfolio, and it is essential that the company is seen as a digital leader in terms of communications, engagement and connecting with customers and stakeholders using the most appropriate digital methods and tools.
Job Dimensions:
The role will be accountable to review the digital landscape at Lucy Electric and collaborating with colleagues across the Group to develop a plan and recommendations that support a unified approach (where appropriate) for enhancing the global digital estate and infrastructure.
The role is accountable for the performance and success of all digital channels, with a primary focus on leveraging significant growth opportunities for the brand in key markets, including the UK, India, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, South America, and Australia. Additionally, the role will provide guidance and support to regional marketing and sales teams.
Key Accountabilities:
The Digital marketing lead is responsible to work closely with the traditional marketing team and manage the brand's digital media channel strategy and ensure the successful visibility of the brand in the digital media.
The key accountabilities of the role are:
1. Strategy & Planning
- Define and drive the Digital Marketing agenda for Lucy Electric’s global footprint.
- Develop, with the Marketing Director and Head of Central Marcoms, a holistic digital marketing strategy that aligns with brand strategies and is based on Voice of Customer (VOC) insights.
- Be a change agent to drive the adoption of digital marketing, incorporating new and relevant digital content and media to transform brand engagement.
- Collaborate on customer journey mapping, optimising touchpoints for a seamless experience across digital platforms.
- Work with colleagues across the Group to develop digital-first guidelines and contribute to the development of revised brand guidelines for a consistent global footprint.
2. Campaign Management & Execution
- Create and manage digital advertising campaigns, overseeing planning, execution, and optimisation across platforms such as Google Ads, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
- Source and onboard an effective digital agency, working closely with them to ensure successful execution of digital projects.
- Develop and maintain marketing automation processes using D365 tools to streamline lead nurturing, email marketing, and customer segmentation.
- Support the creation and distribution of digital content such as blog posts, webinars, white papers, and other digital assets.
- Must ensure timely execution of campaigns and other marketing tasks, meeting timelines with accuracy.
3. Performance Management & Analytics
- Manage and optimise SEO/SEM efforts, continuously improving strategies to drive organic and paid traffic.
- Analyse website and social media analytics to measure campaign effectiveness and inform future decisions.
- Lead data-driven decision-making, implementing A/B testing, conversion rate optimisation (CRO), and other techniques to enhance performance.
- Oversee digital budget and ROI analysis, ensuring optimal return on investment across digital campaigns.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) across all digital activities.
4. Digital Integration & Innovation
- Drive digital integration and innovation across all channels and platforms (Website, Content, SEM, Social, etc.).
- Leverage AI technologies to enhance data analysis, automate processes, and deliver personalized customer experiences.
- Develop and manage relationships with influencers and industry professionals to increase reach and visibility.
- Stay updated on digital industry trends and recommend changes to the digital marketing strategy.
- Lead the adoption of new digital tools, technologies, and formats to enhance user experience and engagement.
5. Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with the traditional marketing team to ensure alignment across all marketing efforts.
- Provide guidance and support to regional marketing and sales teams, ensuring consistency in digital initiatives.
- Guide cross-functional teams to ensure targets and timelines are met.
- Coordinate digital training programs to enhance digital skills among internal teams and ensure a strong understanding of new digital tools.
6. Brand Management & Consistency
- Ensure brand consistency across all digital channels by monitoring digital content and ensuring alignment with the company’s branding guidelines and messaging.
- Own the integrated duties of all digital communication, including web, social, and digital marketing mandates.
- Support crisis communication management, ensuring timely and appropriate digital responses during critical moments.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:
- Strong digital marketing and leadership experience – 6+ yrs - mandatory
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related significant experience - mandatory
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in digital, social media, &/or content marketing - desirable
- Minimum 5 years of digital marketing experience, preferably in the same/similar industry - desirable
- Technical qualification or relevant experience in electrical or related industry - desirable
Job Specific Skills:
- Ability to develop and deliver clear digital strategy encompassing (web, social & digital)
- Strong overall marketing experience with expertise in digital marketing
- Extensive knowledge of digital marketing channels and strategies,inc SEO, PPC, email, and social media
- Ability to analyse market trends and articulate clear market-led solutions
- Work with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver strong business outcomes
