Are you ready to make a real impact in a fast-paced marketing team? We're looking for a dynamic Marketing Assistant to support our efforts in driving revenue growth through innovative marketing campaigns.
As a Marketing Assistant, you'll work closely with the Marketing Operations Manager and collaborate with our Sales, Marketing, and Customer teams to deliver seamless, results-driven marketing activities. You'll play a vital role in keeping the team moving through seamless admin, assisting with campaigns, monthly reporting and occasionally briefing creative and media agencies. You'll also have the chance to support diverse projects across CRM, digital marketing, and partnerships, making this a varied and exciting opportunity to grow your skills.

We’re based in York, with team days in the office on Mondays and Thursdays to collaborate, learn, and grow together. While being in the office is valuable for development, there’s also flexibility to work from home or our Manchester and Leeds offices.
Key Duties:
Your main responsibilities will be to:
- Support the Marketing team to deliver marketing campaigns, getting involved in different aspects of a project as directed by the Operations and product managers.
- Raise all purchase orders for the Marketing department and manage all related admin, including tracking and reporting expenditure each period.
- Assist in managing and executing the Marketing team's content strategy, ensuring alignment with campaign plans and Communications activities while integrating any new developments.
- Maintain the Northern brand and its values by staying consistent with our brand rollout guidelines, encouraging best practice at all times.
- Contribute to a culture of high commercial awareness and understanding, ensuring that accurate and effective evaluation is conducted and reported to the wider business for all key projects.
About you:
We're looking for a driven and enthusiastic individual ready to kick-start their career in marketing. Whether you're a recent graduate or have some experience working in marketing, you'll bring a passion for learning and a can-do attitude. You'll be resilient, highly organised, and eager to take on new challenges, making a real impact within a dynamic team.
You will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Experience of detail orientated approach to admin task management
- Some experience of consumer marketing including first-hand experience of some above the line (TV, radio, press, posters etc) marketing channels
- Understanding of project management principles from briefing through to delivery
- Campaign marketing execution understanding or experience
- Commercial awareness and some financial understanding.
- Ability to influence at a manager level internally and/or equivalent in external agencies or partners
