Role Description:
We are looking for a Junior Social Editor to join our team and effectively maintain social implementation across all key platforms. This position will be responsible for coordinating a content programming schedule that optimises content performance across our network. This encompasses utilising both live (Snapchat, Instagram Stories, Facebook Live) and edited/pre-recorded content (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram). In addition to defining best practices and maintaining a weekly calendar, if you're a creative individual with a passion for social media and viral content, this role could be perfect for you.
The Role:
As our Social Editor, you'll be responsible for:
- Video editing and creative output across some of our key client accounts.
- Viewing, creating cut lists and producing video content for use across the client’s social media channels.
- You’ll be a creative thinker, a multi-tasker and enthusiastic to join a growing team delivering outstanding work
- Supporting the creative and strategy teams with video editing
- Creating content for use across T&Pm’s social media platforms – owning the user experience while balancing creativity with effectiveness and translating storyboards/mock-ups into final designs.
- Demonstrate ability to create bespoke videos from supplied assets
- Focus on building an expertise – work closely with the creatives to develop your skill set.
- Taking part in regular team brainstorms.
- Proactively seeking out the latest and greatest internet videos, ahead of our competitors, across platforms like TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and more.
- Obtaining permissions from creators/copyright holders to use their content on LADbible channels and building positive, long-term relationships with those creators
- Posting and scheduling content on multiple platforms such as; Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram and YouTube
- Creatively developing content ideas that work with our audiences
- Adhering to client brand guidelines when seeking content, ensuring all content aligns to our tone of voice whilst also remaining compliant with social media community guidelines
Key knowledge and experience:
- Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative suite, with the ability to create across Adobe Premiere Pro & After Effects.
- Working knowledge of CapCut a benefit, but not essential.
- Ability to design and integrate motion graphics into videos
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
- Experience within social media publishing or video licensing
- A good eye for viral content
- Understanding a range of audiences and demographics, in turn knowing what content they enjoy the most
- A strong understanding of social media algorithms, current social media trends, content creation and what makes a viral video
- Interpreting social media insights and using that data to seek out the best content for our pages
- Worked with content creators and their agents
- An understanding of media law
- Organisational skills and the ability to think logically, while remaining agile to move quickly
