Junior Creative Designer
Description:
The Mastercard Creative Studio is looking for a talented designer with a passion for branding to join our amazing in-house creative team in London.
As a designer in the Creative Studio, you’ll work closely with internal team members (brand strategists, innovators, designers, and writers) to create high quality marketing assets. You’ll craft visual materials for campaigns, events, infographics, social media, web, reports and slick presentations.
You’re a skilled designer with an eye for the next big thing. You understand branding and are comfortable working within global brand guidelines. You have a strong portfolio demonstrating creative flair and problem solving across a range of media and formats, including digital and print.
You understand the ability of good design to deliver a clear message and emotion. You’re a strategic thinker who asks the right questions to uncover the underlying why. You’re always looking for ways to infuse a creative edge into everything you do, and you’re comfortable presenting these ideas to stakeholders at Mastercard.
Finally, you have a growth mindset. You’re passionate about skill development, continual learning and maximizing every opportunity to push yourself.

Necessary skills:
- Possess solid knowledge in graphic design with the ability to apply brand style guides creatively
- Apply strong conceptual skills, high level sense of typography, colour theory, and visual composition
- Interpret Mastercard brand guidelines successfully across a range of media and formats, including multi-page presentations and marketing assets
- Display creative curiosity by seeking out new design techniques and maintaining cutting edge industry knowledge
Business skills:
- Strong presentation skills, comfortable communicating visual concepts and ideas to key stakeholders at Mastercard
- Understand the business goals, marketing strategies and value propositions of our stakeholders and clients
- Work effectively with others to identify challenges and opportunities and use creative and strategic thinking to generate solutions
- Manage creative requirements, expectations, and deadlines for all projects

Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years working as a graphic designer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating creative thinking and working with established brands. Some in-house or agency experience preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- Experience with 3D rendering, video editing and motion graphics a plus
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office including Word and PowerPoint
- Experience with project management software
