The role
Atom Learning is looking for a Junior/Mid Product Designer to join the design team!
You will work closely with the product and tech teams as well as the founders to ensure the design and interface of our web apps and communications reflect the quality of the underlying product.
You will work in an agile environment rapidly prototyping and wire-framing new features and designs.
Experience is important, but we’re looking for a person with the right mindset: proactive, motivated, design-lover and a team player.
What you will do:
- You will develop wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups to effectively conceptualise and communicate high-level design strategies and detailed interaction behaviours.
- You will work closely with cross-functional teams to help define feature requirements.
- You will be part of a cross-functional team, with its own rituals. Plus you’ll be part of the Product Design team who you can rely on to share and collect feedback.
- You will provide thought leadership in architecting short and long term vision for the education experience.
- You will lead by example to contribute to a positive product design team culture.
- As an active contributor in the Product and Design team, you will share approaches and ideas to improve ways of working.
- Aim for the top. Help elevate product to the next stage of excellence from a UI/UX perspective. Help us compete with the best!
Who you are:
- You LOVE being a designer and aim for pixel perfect design.
- An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating a history of creating customer-focused, simple and intuitive end to end designs from product discovery to continuous improvements.
- Proficiency using the latest design tools, including Figma and user testing tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to present to and influence other designers, PMs, engineers and senior management.
- Ability to define and drive your roadmap and requirements to reach your goals, with input from managers and other leaders.
- Ability to drive usability research to test design concepts with customers.
- Experience working on design projects in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team including designers, product managers, and software developers.
- Experience working within a fast paced, agile environment.
- Familiarity with research methodologies and turning customer feedback into actionable findings.
- Experience designing responsive websites and apps (mobile, tablet, desktop).
