Are you an experienced and motivated professional looking to lead and manage a thriving dental practice? Sheffield Smiles are seeking a dynamic Practice Manager to oversee all aspects of our practice operations and ensure a seamless experience for our team and patients.
We are a fully private dental practice based in Hillsborough, S6. Our team consists of dentists, specialists and hygienists with ambitious plans for growth in 2025.
About the Role
As a Practice Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of our dental practice; a state of the art private practice in Sheffield, S6 that provides comprehensive dentistry.
Reporting directly to the Clinical Director and Operations Director, you will be responsible for managing the team, overseeing finances, ensuring compliance, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Management: Supervise dental nurses, receptionists, and other staff to ensure excellence in training, punctuality, appearance, and customer service.
- Financial Oversight: Collaborate with the principal to manage budgets, control costs, handle payroll, and monitor practice performance.
- Policy & Compliance: Develop, implement, and ensure adherence to practice policies, procedures, and clinical governance systems.
- Administration: Manage practice premises, marketing, and inventory, and maintain essential systems.
- Health & Safety: Act as the Health and Safety Manager, ensuring all equipment is maintained and staff follow regulations.
- Patient Care: Oversee the patient recall system, manage complaints, and maintain up-to-date patient literature.

Experience:
- Dental Practice Management: Applicants must have at least 5 year of working experience in the UK in dental /management roles
•Dental nursing background/existing dental manager required. Non dental background applicants need not apply.
- Experience in all normal management duties such as CQC, Health & Safety, basic payment allocations, staff rotas, holidays etc. We use numerous digital systems to help make this easy!
- Have the ability and desire to market and drive the growth of a dental practice with forward thinking ideas and a patient centric approach.
