An award-winning agency in Manchester, working with some of the world's biggest brands, is on the lookout for an experienced Social Media Associate Director or Deputy Head of Social for their 20-strong social and studio team, reporting into the leadership team.
This role will play an important part in continuing to scale the fast-growing social media specialism at the agency and they are looking for someone with passion, drive and ambition to help lead the charge for social-first thinking. You’ll need to be adept at leading large social programmes, providing senior-level client counsel, able to act as a supportive and motivating line manager and be comfortable leading new business and organic proposals and social strategies.
You will have significant experience in a similar role within an agency, at Associate Director level, and will work with an experienced team with a diverse range of specialist skills, from paid social to video, to social content creation and research and analytics.
Key Responsibilities as a Social Media Associate Director:
- Support setting a clear vision for the agency’s social media offering
- Acting as the senior lead on busy social media programmes and high-profile campaigns
- Lead the development of social-first creative ideas and social strategies linked to business objectives
- Foster a culture of creativity, supporting teams to develop stronger creative thinking
- Be commercially-mind, with a good eye for detail
- Confidently pitch social media solutions for new business and existing clients
- Act as a leader for the team, with a supportive line management approach and empowering leadership style About you
About You:
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a strong social media team
- Excellent eye for quality
- Demonstrable passion for social, across B2C, B2B and corporate
- Strong strategic mindset, with a clear understanding of how social media can meet business goals
- Compelling writer that can turn ideas into buyable campaigns
- Confident leader that can work with teams across the business and foster a supportive, ambitious environment
- Comfortable working on a range of clients, budgets and briefs
