Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Web Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, coding, and maintaining our open-source ecommerce web applications, ensuring optimal performance and user experience. This role requires a strong understanding of both front-end and back-end technologies, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with other members of the teams.
Duties
- Develop and maintain web applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Collaborate with designers to implement user-friendly interfaces that enhance user experience.
- Write clean, scalable code and conduct peer code reviews to ensure quality standards.
- Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.
- Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability while ensuring responsiveness across devices.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
- Liaising with customers regarding specifications and issues with web applications.
- Assisting first-line support as and when required.
Skills
- Expertise in PHP frameworks, front-end technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS), and MySQL databases
- Experience with content management systems, such as WordPress, Magento, and PrestaShop.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues effectively and provide solutions in a timely manner.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with team members and customers.
