An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Bettys Marketing Team, and we are looking for a Social Media and Influencer Manager to join us at our offices in the Bettys Bakery, Harrogate. As a Social Media and Influencer Manager, you will be responsible for developing and delivering our social media strategy that enhances brand visibility, drives engagement, and increases traffic to our branches, Bettys.co.uk, and Cookery School, while showcasing our bakery and café credentials. Given that organic social media is our No. 1 brand awareness channel, this role is pivotal to the success and growth of the brand.

Key Responsibilities:
This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills, a deep understanding of social media dynamics, and a passion for creating engaging content that drives brand success. You will create and implement a social media strategy that aligns with our overall business goals, marketing objectives, and social media growth, supporting all sales and brand channels. Establishing and maintaining our content pillars, you will highlight our branches, Cookery School, bakery expertise, retail/online proposition, and brand values, bringing them to life in an always-on approach by engaging internal stakeholders, experts, and content creators.
You will position Bettys as the No. 1 place to visit in Yorkshire through social media search, driving demand and user-generated content within all social channels. Developing engaging content, including graphics, videos, and written posts tailored to the business needs of retail, online, café, and Cookery School, will be a key part of your role. Leading the social strategy for product launches, collaborations, and special projects, you will ensure final execution meets brand expectations.
Managing, coaching, and developing the Social Media and Content Specialist, you will provide guidance and support to ensure high-quality content and effective execution of the social media strategy. Leading and managing the Branch social media Champions, you will provide regular training, monthly briefing meetings, and manage branch social media content, including approval and scheduling. Overseeing the planning and scheduling of social media content across all platforms, you will ensure consistency and alignment with the content calendar.
You will identify and build relationships with relevant influencers, content creators, brand ambassadors, and strategic partners to create social media buzz, brand awareness, and visits. Working closely with the Digital Marketing Manager on paid social and affiliate channels, you will align and provide relevant content to support traffic and sales. Collaborating with Customer Support and the PR & Comms Manager, you will ensure social media best practices and the brand’s tone, and voice are consistent, managing high-stress situations effectively to maintain the brand’s reputation.
Fostering strong online communities by actively engaging with followers, responding to comments and messages, and encouraging user-generated content will be essential. Monitoring and analysing social media performance metrics, you will provide regular reports and insights to inform strategy adjustments and deliver consistent growth month over month. Planning and executing social media campaigns that drive engagement and traffic to Bettys branches and the online store, you will measure their effectiveness and ROI.
