As we embark on the next phase of our customer-centric, value creation journey, we are seeking a Head of Ecommerce to step-change our online business: To shape and execute our ecommerce strategy. As part of our senior leadership team, reporting to our CMO you’ll be accountable for end-to-end online business success driving revenue growth, enhancing customer experience and championing technological innovation across our digital channels.
Core Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Growth: Define a roadmap for digital growth, focusing on profitability and customer retention across all digital platforms
- P&L Ownership: Full responsibility for the ecommerce division P&L, with targets for revenue, margin and cost control
- Digital Marketing Leadership: Drive customer acquisition, brand positioning and customer segmentation through performance marketing channels (SEO, PPC, email and social media)
- Customer Journey Optimisation: Ensure a seamless, high quality customer journey across site and mobile, using data insights for continuous UX/UI improvement
- Technology Integration: Collaborate on integrating ecommerce platforms with ERP, CRM and logistics systems
- Marketplace Strategy: Lead strategy on third-party marketplaces (e.g. Amazon, E-bay) to maximise visibility and revenue
- Fulfilment & Inventory: Partner with operations teams to ensure smooth, efficient order fulfilment, deliver and inventory management
- Data Analytics: Track KPIs and present performance insights and recommendations to the executive team
- Leadership and Collaboration: Lead and develop the ecommerce team whilst aligning cross-functional efforts with marketing, operations and IT team
We are looking for someone who will bring their digital expertise to elevate and scale our ecommerce business to be a multimillion-dollar success story. You will have a proven track record in doing so and will also demonstrate:
- Expertise in Ecommerce Best Practices: Proficiency in online sales strategy, digital marketing, UX/UI, and P&L management
- Omnichannel Insight: Knowledge of omnichannel integration, customer journey mapping, and site optimization
- Analytical Strength: Skilled in data-driven decision-making and performance monitoring
- Leadership & Development Skills: Ability to inspire and grow a high-performing team
- Global Vision: Experience with international ecommerce expansion a plus
- Passion for Gardening: Interest in horticulture or experience in a gardening-related business is a bonus!
