Job Description
The Email Marketing Executive will be responsible for the end-to-end execution and management of automated email marketing campaigns using Marketo. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build engaging email workflows that nurture leads, drive customer retention, and align with Fastmarkets' overall marketing objectives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Marketo and email marketing best practices, ensuring campaigns are delivered effectively, optimised for performance, and compliant with data privacy regulations.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develop and execute automated email campaigns in Marketo, targeting key customer segments throughout the buyer's journey, including lead nurturing, onboarding, and retention strategies.
- Create and optimise automated workflows, ensuring timely, personalised email content delivery to segmented lists based on user behaviour, demographics, and engagement data.
- Collaborate with content, design, and product teams to ensure email content, templates, and messaging are consistent with broader marketing initiatives and Fastmarkets' brand guidelines.
- Build, manage, and maintain segmented contact lists within Marketo, creating targeted campaigns that address the specific needs of different audience segments.
- Monitor and analyse email performance metrics, including open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and deliverability, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Conduct A/B testing on key elements such as subject lines, email content, and send times to optimise performance and maximise engagement.
- Ensure email templates are responsive and optimised for both desktop and mobile devices, adhering to industry best practices.
- Manage email deliverability, ensuring list hygiene, reducing bounce rates, and maintaining compliance with GDPR and other data protection laws.
- Work closely with the sales and customer success teams to ensure seamless lead handover and alignment between marketing automation and sales processes.
- Stay up-to-date with email marketing trends, new features in Marketo, and industry best practices, proactively suggesting new approaches to enhance email performance.

Qualifications

- 2-3+ years of experience in email marketing, specifically with Marketo, focusing on automation, segmentation, and campaign execution in a B2B environment.
- Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, including segmentation, automation, and personalisation.
- Experience with A/B testing and optimising email campaigns based on performance metrics.
- Proven ability to create and manage complex email automation workflows and multi-step campaigns using Marketo.
- Basic understanding of HTML for email template design and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of GDPR and data privacy regulations, ensuring compliance in all email marketing activities.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with email marketing performance reporting and optimisation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including content creators and designers.
- High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in campaign execution.
- Desirable Skills:
- Experience with lead scoring, customer lifecycle management, and lead nurturing strategies within Marketo.
- Knowledge of CRM integration with Marketo and how it supports lead management and alignment between marketing and sales.
- Familiarity with personalisation techniques to enhance engagement and conversion rates.
- Understanding of SEO principles as they relate to email marketing and content strategies.
