Job Purpose
Working for a UK climate action charity, Carbon Copy (CC), you will be responsible for
publishing content and managing interactions on the charity’s social media channels – with
particular focus on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram – helping to grow followers on these
channels, increasing engagement and driving traffic to the Carbon Copy website. You will also
build online community relationships with key organisations and influencers across these
channels.
This is a new role that would suit someone with a passion for addressing the climate crisis;
who has experience working in the environmental sector and with planning, scheduling and
creating content for these social media channels.
Reporting to the Head of Communications and working closely with the Multimedia Content
Producer, this role will contribute to the communications mix behind the charity’s campaigns
and be integral to the overall messaging. This is a dynamic role and the person needs to be a
flexible self-starter, comfortable working within an agile team and in a changing environment.
Main Responsibilities
Manage Carbon Copy’s social channels – including managing the content calendar, desktop
content creation, publishing and interactions – based on CC’s communication strategy and social
media targets.
Build a more connected and engaged social media audience on CC's priority channels through
timely responses to comments/mentions, and interaction on the posts of other
organisations/influencers.
Use CC’s social media management tool (Sprout Social) to bring scheduling, content
creation, tracking, analytics and social listening to one place.
Place and evaluate ads for social media that have been pre-produced.
Brief Multimedia Content Producer on agreed video/audio content required for social.
Create and customise desktop content for each social channel, using the multimedia produced
by CC’s Multimedia Content Producer wherever possible.
Essential
3+ years working in social media-focused role.
Experience with LinkedIn, Facebook & Instagram.
Strong written communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Previous experience using Meta Business Suite including scheduling ads on Facebook and
Instagram.
Experience of building online community relationships with key organisations and
individuals.
Understanding of social listening and social trends.
Understanding of analytics across social platforms.
Self-starter, creative, responsive, adaptable.
Comfortable with remote working.
Desirable
Experience using Sprout Social (scheduling tool).
Visual content production skills using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite etc.
Experience of LinkedIn advertising.
Experience working with influencers and collaborating with partner organisations on
campaigns.
Experience using Sprout Social to produce reports.
Start Date January 2, 2025 (or earlier). This role is subject to an 8-week probation period.
Days 2.5 days per week, flexible arrangement; work to be spread evenly across the regular working
week from Monday to Friday.
Remuneration £28,000 - £30,000 pa, pro-rata
Holiday Entitlement 28 days (inclusive of 8 public holidays) pa, pro-rata

Place of Work Remote. Responsible for your own high-speed internet access and use of your own online devices
to undertake your duties.
Duration 12 months FTC, with potential to extend.
