What is the role?
We are seeking an enthusiastic, ambitious, and results-driven Digital Content Marketing Executive to join our content team, playing a vital role in developing and delivering our digital strategy, driving brand engagement and supporting customer acquisition. Reporting into the Content Manager, this role will partner closely with our Digital Marketing team, in particular our inhouse SEO Manager, to help deliver & execute our SEO content roadmap and optimising website performance. You’ll be responsible for delivering engaging, relevant content that resonates with our customers, driving customer engagement and supports delivering strong SEO results.
You’ll also work with the wider marketing team, across Brand, CRM & Digital Marketing , to establish our website as a high-performing channel that attracts and engages visitors, and contributes to our digital strategy.
What will you be doing day to day?
- Bring the outside in: Sharing best in class examples of content from both within and beyond the industry – be that in terms of technology, contact strategy, content, execution to ensure we are continuous evolving and optimising what we do at Lumon.
- Voice of customer: Contribute to a customer centric culture by continually putting customers at the heart of all business decisions.
- Website & Digital Content Strategy Delivery: Play a pivotal role in developing and delivering content to support our digital strategy, focusing on the website as a core channel to drive traffic, boost conversions, and deepen customer engagement through high-impact, relevant, SEO optimised content.
- SEO & Content Optimisation: Collaborate with the SEO Manager to develop, optimise, and maintain web pages and articles, following SEO best practices to maximise organic search performance and increase conversions. Ensure all communication adheres to the relevant regulatory requirements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the wider marketing team, including Brand, CRM and Digital Marketing to ensure our content delivery supports broader digital channels and goals. In addition, ensure you are forming strong relationships across Product, Technology and Sales functions to continuously ensure you are delivering content that supports the Lumon customer proposition. .
- Content Editing and Quality Control: Maintain high editorial standards, proofreading content and ensuring it meets brand guidelines and resonates with our target audiences.
- Content Briefing & Coordination: Create detailed briefs and manage production workflow for all digital content. Work closely with freelance copywriters to create engaging content, aligned with our brand voice and digital strategy.
- Website Performance Optimisation: Regularly analyse website metrics and user experience, implementing improvements in site structure, navigation, and content to optimise impact and site effectiveness.
- Performance Analysis: Track, analyse, and report on website performance metrics, delivering actionable insights to inform ongoing content and website optimisation efforts.
- Support Performance Marketing Initiatives: Collaborate with the wider marketing team to support performance marketing initiatives and our affiliate programme.
- Deliver on our Brand Guidelines: Ensure that all content produced is aligned to our brand guidelines, paying attention to tone, style and personality, across Lumon and Lumon Corporate.
What experience do you need to be successful in the role?
- Proven experience in digital content creation, with a primary focus on website optimisation (2+ years preferred).
- Strong analytical skills with proven experience of putting customer at the heart of data driven decision making.
- Knowledge of CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) with the ability to make content updates and understand basic site management.
- Excellent writing, proofreading, and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
- You’ll be highly ambitious with high levels of curiosity, low ego, a strong work ethic and you’ll be someone who wants to see the team succeed together. You’ll have a career to date that demonstrates hard work, a focus on fulfilling your potential and enabling others around you to do the same.
- A proactive, creative, innovative, high-energy approach to content marketing; adaptable and resourceful.
- Commercially savvy, with a bias for action and strong decision-making skills.
- Excellent relationship builder, with strong stakeholder management skills. Previous experience in financial services is a plus, though experience in any fast-paced, data-rich environment is highly relevant.
