The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is one of the world’s leading public health universities.
We are looking for a creative and passionate Digital Content Editor to join its award-winning Communications & Engagement department. In this role, the candidate will support the planning, creation, and delivery of strategic, high-quality digital content that enhances LSHTM’s global research dissemination, student recruitment, and institutional profile.
LSHTM seeks someone who is technically minded and highly collaborative, capable of working effectively with various stakeholders and teams. An interest in digital content trends is important to ensure the content remains fresh and relevant.
You should be educated to a degree level of hold equivalent experience. You will have the skills and experience to produce a diverse range of digital content, including global research and student marketing videos, basic 2D motion animations, photography projects, and graphic design elements. Proficiency with mirrorless cameras and basic sound and lighting equipment is essential, as they will be capturing interviews and filming short documentaries. You should also be adept with the Adobe Creative Suite to design, edit, and deliver content optimised for social and digital platforms.
An understanding of GDPR compliance and accessibility guidelines is crucial, ensuring all content meets these standards while aligning with LSHTM's brand guidelines, voice, and tone. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to coordinate and prioritise a complex workload are essential for success in this role. Further particulars are included in the job description.
The post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1 FTE and permanent.
The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale, Grade 4 in the range £34,011 - £38,198 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London.
