The Content Marketing Manager (Scientific) is responsible for the development of scientific content across website, print and digital channels, that will inspire audiences to act. This role will work closely alongside scientific and content marketing managers, brand custodians, designers and other stakeholders to develop content that will inject excellence into our marketing communications and help Abcam serve the scientific community. The role requires practical execution skills, so the ability to adapt at pace is key.
This position reports to theHead of Content Marketing and is part of theMarketing & Communications team located in Cambridge, UK and will be on-site. At Abcam, our vision is to be the most influential life sciences company for researchers worldwide.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Develop scientific content to educate, serve and inspire the scientific community
Champion scientific content to support the brand promise of delivering high-quality and relevant information to the scientific community
Assist in building a scientific community around our content, supporting existing content, and introducing novel strategies to engage our audience
Support existing content and develop marketing copy for a range of platforms, including ads, website, email, social media and offline activities. Help introduce new content types, such as infographics, podcasts, webinars and more.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s or PhD in a relevant scientific field
Prior experience within a content marketing, communications or copywriting role within the life sciences industry
Experience working with different content formats, tailoring messaging and style to resonate with different audiences
Excellent attention to detail with strong proofreading skills
Excellent organisational skills to meet tight deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Any additional content creation qualifications and experience, beyond writing (e.g. design, photography, podcasting, webinars)
