Job Description:
North Northamptonshire Council is seeking a talented and motivated Communications and Marketing Specialist to cover a vacant post. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering impactful communications and marketing campaigns that engage the community, enhance the council's reputation, and promote its services effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement effective communication and marketing strategies.
Produce high-quality content for a range of channels, including social media, press releases, newsletters, and internal communications.
Manage and monitor the council's digital platforms, ensuring content is accurate and engaging.
Act as a liaison with media outlets and respond to press inquiries.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure messaging aligns with council objectives.
Measure the success of communication campaigns and provide insights for improvement.

Requirements:
✔ Proven experience in communications, public relations, or marketing.
✔ Strong writing and editing skills, with attention to detail.
✔ Familiarity with digital marketing tools and social media platforms.
✔ Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
✔ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
✔ Knowledge of local government communications is desirable but not essential.
