Primary Function
Provide video editing /production/photography support to producers and clients.
This job is onsite at client location. No remote work.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with planning and execution of video productions and broadcast events.
- Create broadcast-quality video products.
- Receive story board, creative brief, script and outline of footage and/shot list, transcript of interviews, collect materials and create video projects to meet creative and overall objectives for clients’ projects.
- Make creative decisions based on written scripts or input from client
- Actively participate in conversations with internal and external partners in production meetings and event planning to provide visually dynamic and engaging solutions.
- Edit original video content from multi-camera, in studio and off-site video productions.
- Edit content for Social Media
- Work as part of team to ensure vision and creative style of the production is delivered.
- Work with Media Officers and Video Editors to deliver high quality video products.
- Assist on video and photography shoots including set-up, teardown and operation of video/photo, lighting and audio equipment
- Responsible for ingesting and logging video material onto the Media Asset Management system.
- Create rough cuts and assemble basic elements for final editing
- Deliver final video projects via FTP and/or post to video hosting sites
- Maintain, inventory, organize all video and audio equipment
- Required to perform duties where necessary during extended hours, and occasionally for special events during evenings and weekends
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with video and still photography equipment
- Thorough understanding of video production processes.
- Proficient and experience with varying editing/compression software, video hosting sites, and PC/MAC
- Ability to create results-oriented videos to meet strategic business requirements
- Understanding of video codex
- Effective communication skills. Excellent time management skills. Must be self-motivated, demonstrating initiative and focused determination. Performs well under pressure.
- Proficient in Adobe CC and Microsoft suites.
Education & Experience
- At least 3 years’ experience of video production and camera work.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media, Journalism or Visual Arts is required
