We are looking for a Marketing Executive and Content Creator to join our small but fast growing bakery business at our HQ, Bakery & Café in central Gloucester.
Hours: 24
Days: Flexible, 3-4 day per week Monday-Friday.
Office location: Our Bakery in Gloucester (working from home or at an event occasionally)
Salary: Up to £14ph depending on experience

Our bakery make indulgent #fudgingdelicious, award winning brownies sold online & wholesale nationwide as well as locally at our sister café in the Docks, Hetty's Place. Our brand is colourful, fun, joyful with buckets of personality. We therefore need someone who can emulate our high energy brand persona, understand our tone of voice and get involved on our social media platforms... & ideally... not be camera shy :-)
Who we're looking for...
We need someone with a head for numbers & strategy but also a creative eye & a fun, gregarious personality.
We are looking for an experienced Marketing executive to work independently with support from founder Hetty, to develop an ambitious and creative marketing plan, delivering effective email, ad & influener campaigns & create engaging content for Social Media.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 2 years digital marketing experience
- 2 years social media management & content creation
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of ecommerce & be able to strategize multi platform campaigns focussing on key gifting occasions
- Comprehensive knowledge of consumer behaviour and the effects and applications of a full range of media channels
- Good working knowledge of Facebook business manager & Google Analytics
- Able to self teach, deep research & keep ahead of the constantly evolving marketing trends, technologies & platforms
- Witty, fun & engaging copywriting
- Able to use editing & content software such as Canva
- Must not be camera shy!
- Good knowledge of photography, filming and editing of simple phone created content (as a self taught skill, no professional photography/film training required!)
- Basic website maintenance abilities such as uploading & editing new products
Helpful but non essential Skills:
- Broader experience within paid ad's, SEO & website optimisation would be a big bonus
Responsibilities
- Building email flows, campaigns, paid ad's, influencer campaigns, press releases, planning & scheduling social content
- Monitoring stats & user habits, looking for opportunities to improve conversion
- Making aesthetic & relatable on brand content that engages and coverts
- Assisting Hetty &/or our photographer in styling, shooting & filming new products for our website & social media, newsletters & blog posts
- Creating copy in our brand tone of voice (must partial to a food pun!)
- Compiling monthly report from Google & Social media analytics & sales data
- Growing engagement, social following & email subscribers
- Turning our customers into super fans, developing incentives, rewards & rapport to ensure loyal & regular customers who will want to recommend us to their friends
- Planning content & strategy several months in advance ensuring periods of both sales & nurture, optimising key seasonal sales times of the year
