The Opportunity
As a Software Engineer at Bright, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the future of our flagship payroll products. Working with a talented team this role will focus on developing high-quality, scalable solutions using C# both on the backend and frontend with Blazor. You will be using a modern toolchain that includes Azure services and Kubernetes to build and host what you produce.

You’ll collaborate across teams, gaining exposure to a variety of projects and challenges that will help you grow as a developer. With access to the latest technologies and a supportive team, you’ll contribute to meaningful projects that drive our mission forward.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain innovative web applications and services.
Collaborate with diverse teams, including product managers and QA specialists, to translate ideas into impactful solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise, fostering a problem-solving mindset.
Stay at the forefront of software engineering trends and bring fresh ideas to the team.
Enhance development practices and tools to ensure our solutions are efficient and maintainable.
Configure builds and automated tests to execute reliably and efficiently in CI/CD environments.
Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative team environment that values diverse perspectives.

What we’re looking for
We’re excited to meet candidates who share our values of collaboration, continuous learning, and creating high-quality software. Here’s what you’ll bring to the team:

Experience in building web-based applications with C# .NET.
Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Knowledge of SQL databases and other storage technologies.
Experience building web front-end technologies (Blazor is a plus).
A growth mindset—eager to expand your skills and explore new technologies.
Strong collaboration skills, thriving in team environments where diverse perspectives are valued.
Experience in agile environments and CI/CD tools is an advantage.
