Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Public Relations Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies that enhance our brand image and foster positive relationships with the media, stakeholders, and the public. This role requires a creative thinker with strong writing skills and a passion for storytelling. Preference given to those that are entrepreneurially minded and have strong ownership.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in public relations or a related field is essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Proficient in using social media platforms for brand promotion and engagement.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- A degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with media monitoring tools and PR software is advantageous.

Example Duties (can be discussed at interview)
- Leveraging creative content campaigns to generate links / coverage on a variety of publications
- Building relationships with influential bloggers, press contacts and other key influencers
- Building media lists of highly targeted websites and journalists
- Working with the team on campaign ideation and the development of content campaigns
- Liaising with journalists to secure placements for clients
- Create stories and content with data that influencers and journalist want to promote - for example press releases, articles, infographics (being able to create a design brief where appropriate and manage designers)
- Analyse data to identify content for digital PR and SEO outreach campaigns
- To have a proven track record of being able to develop rapport with journalists and subsequently generating coverage for clients
- To have a proven track record of being able to operate at pace and take advantage of trends with newsworthy stories.
- Conduct brainstorming sessions with the wider team to develop innovative and actionable campaigns for our clients
- Oversee multiple projects from start to completion and keeping to deadlines
- Analysing and reporting on various SEO KPIs to measure the performance of content marketing, outreach & digital PR campaigns to deliver continued improvements
- Build on your existing relationships with journalists, and various media owners to further build on your list of contacts.
- Keep on top of industry trends and channels like @prjournalrequest on twitter
- Outreach Tool Proficiency: Utilising PR and outreach tools like Agility, or similar platforms for outreach management and monitoring.
- Link Profile Management: Monitoring and ensuring the quality and relevance of links generated, helping to disavow poor-quality backlinks when needed.
- Event Participation: Attending or representing the agency or clients at relevant industry events, conferences, or webinars to build relationships with key media contacts.
- Competitor Analysis: Monitoring competitors' PR strategies and tactics to identify opportunities and gaps in your own strategy.
- Local and Niche Outreach: Proactively building relationships with niche and local media outlets that are highly relevant to clients' industries.
- Collaborating with Paid Media: Coordinating with the paid media and social media teams to amplify digital PR efforts.

- Analyse data to identify opportunities for digital PR and SEO outreach campaigns, ensuring effective link-building strategies.
- Track record of quickly building rapport with journalists and securing timely, relevant coverage.
- Lead brainstorming sessions to develop innovative and actionable PR campaigns.
- Manage multiple projects from concept to completion, adhering to deadlines.
- Analyse and report on SEO KPIs to evaluate and improve campaign performance.
- Expand and strengthen existing relationships with journalists and media outlets, continually growing your network.

- Ensure the quality and relevance of backlinks generated and manage disavowal of poor-quality links where necessary.
- Represent the agency and clients at relevant events, conferences, and webinars to expand media contacts.
- Conduct competitor analysis to identify PR opportunities and refine strategies.
- Collaborate with paid media and social media teams to enhance digital PR efforts and amplify campaign reach.
