As part of this journey, we are looking for a Junior Designer who is eager to grow into a UI Developer role, contributing to our mission of creating user-focused, visually engaging digital products.
About the Role
This role is ideal for a creative designer with a passion for user interface (UI) design, who is looking to expand their technical skillset and transition into UI development. You will work closely with our Senior UI/UX Designer, front-end developers, and marketing team to design intuitive interfaces and eventually contribute to building them.
With the support of our team, you’ll have opportunities to develop your skills in React and front-end technologies, making this an excellent step for someone looking to grow their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.

- Collaborate with the design, development, and marketing teams to create user-friendly, visually appealing interfaces.
- Assist in designing intuitive and consistent user interfaces for web applications using tools like Figma and Sketch.
- Create and optimise graphics, layouts, and presentations for internal and external use.
- Translate wireframes and mockups into basic HTML and CSS prototypes, working towards more advanced development.
- Work alongside developers to ensure that designs are technically feasible and meet user requirements.
- Update existing designs to align with current trends, user needs, and company branding.
- Support the creation of design systems and reusable components.
- Participate in team discussions, design critiques, and usability testing to refine solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
- A creative mindset with basic knowledge of design principles, including typography, colour theory, and layout.
- Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Familiarity with HTML and CSS (practical knowledge rather than expertise is sufficient).
- A passion for designing user interfaces and a willingness to learn UI development skills such as React.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering visually compelling work.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Skills (Not Essential but Beneficial)
- Basic familiarity with React and JavaScript.
- Understanding of responsive design principles and frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- A passion for creating impactful PowerPoint presentations.
- Video editing skills, which could support marketing and internal initiatives.
What We Offer
- A supportive environment to grow your skills in UI development.
- Collaborative, self-organised teams working with cutting-edge technologies.
- Opportunities to contribute to exciting projects, such as live podcast events and internal immersion tours.
- Hybrid working with flexibility to work from home and in-office collaboration (1-2 days per week in Leamington Spa).
- A chance to work with a highly motivated team that’s driving digital transformation in the UK home buying and selling sector.
