Role Overview
We are seeking a Junior Front End Developer to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining Shopify based websites.
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of Shopify's platform, its customisation capabilities, and possess the ability to translate visuals into theme builds.
You will collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality, responsive, and user-friendly e-commerce experiences.
Essential Experience
- 1+ years Shopify experience
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, and responsive web design principles
- Understanding of Shopify's templating language, Liquid
- Knowledge of technical SEO best practices
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience exporting assets out of Figma
Beneficial Skills
- Experience with Shopify's app integrations
- Basic Illustrator and Photoshop skills
- Audit & optimisation of current websites
Responsibilities
- Working closely with a team of front-end web developers and UI/UX designers to build e-commerce stores on the Shopify platform.
- Modify existing themes to meet project requirements
- Implement front-end and functionalities using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Setup and configure third-party Shopify apps
- Conduct thorough testing to identify and resolve issues before site deployment
- Ability to manage your time across multiple web builds
- Stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and best practices in Shopify development and e-commerce industry
- Provide technical support and assistance to clients and team members as needed
- Collaborating and sharing ideas with the rest of the agency
