Alabaré are looking to recruit Senior Press and Media Officer based in Salisbury.
Job Specifics:
- Hourly rate £15.13 rising to £16.05 after completing a successful probation period.
- Full time annual salary of £29,503.50 rising to £31,297.50.
- 37.5 (negotiable) hours per week working Monday - Friday (negotiable) with occasional evening and weekend to cover an event

In return for this, we are looking for someone who has:
- The ability and confidence to successfully pitch stories both nationally and regionally, based on your experience and understanding of journalist requirements and media organisations.
- Be able to present a portfolio (or equivalent evidence) of successful press coverage achieved.
- Excellent knowledge of GDPR and the law around sharing personal data.
- Knowledge of Code of Fundraising Practice and legislation relating to fundraising.
- Ability to write successful copy for multiple communication channels, with the knowledge and ability to adapt your writing to best fit the channel/audience and maximise reach.
- Able to create paid for digital advertisements which grow reach and engagement within key audience demographics.
- Excellent analytic, interpersonal, organisational and administrative skills.
- Proficient in the use of word-processing, spreadsheets, desktop publishing, databases, website updating and monitoring software, social media and research tools.
- A Willingness to learn.
- You must be currently resident in the UK.
- You must have the right to work in the UK.
- You must be confident working as part of a team and on your own.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Can maintain professional boundaries at all times.
- You must be friendly and well-organised with an excellent work ethic.
- Car driver essential with access to a road worthy vehicle and business insurance.
Alabaré are committed to ensuring the well-being and safety of all our service users, this includes developing, implementing and maintaining effective recruitment policies and procedures to promote the safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
