The Global Engagement Division (GED) is responsible for raising philanthropic funds as well as building and maintaining lifelong relationships with alumni, volunteers and high-profile ambassadors for the University in the UK and internationally. The Content Managers within the Marketing and Communications team in GED manage a programme of communications that showcase and drive engagement with the University’s philanthropically-funded projects and key activity – from cutting edge research to the GED events programme and life-changing student scholarships.
This role is a fixed term maternity cover for 12 months or earlier return of postholder.
In this role, you will create high-quality content for internal and external audiences, rich in text and visuals, across a varied portfolio of campaigns and projects. The content you create will be used across a variety of digital and offline channels and platforms including print, online and social media. You will also have co-responsibility for the delivery of the Marketing and Communications team’s content strategy.
You will have the opportunity to develop compelling narratives about the University of Bristol. You will create content that brings our causes to life and puts the voice of the beneficiary at the centre across stewardship, regular giving, major gifts, alumni and stakeholder engagement. You will foster a collegial and collaborative culture within the Content team, supporting and inspiring the two Content Officers and working closely with your fellow Content Manager.
You are ready for the next step in your career following previous roles in content, marketing and/or communications roles. You will have excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and relationship-building skills, and you will be persuasive and inquisitive.
