Salary range - The Partnership range for this role is set at £42,700- £64,000 and we have a budget to pay up to £55,000 (dependant on experience) and/or will follow the Partnership Secondment pay policy(for internal applicants)
Contract type - This position is a Secondment/Fixed Term contract until March 2025
Working pattern/flexible working - We know flexible working is important to you, and it is important to us too. The Partnership has adopted a blended working approach meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The Social Marketing team aim for around 1-2 days a week in the office to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings but again, are flexible on this.
Location - This role is based at our London Head Office campus. Please note, any cost incurred as a result of travel to the office is the responsibility of the successful candidate. There is no travel allowance for this role. There is also a responsibility to attend various shoots when necessary. These shoots will predominantly be in London, but on the rare occasion, may be outside of London. You will be able to claim travel expenses for these journeys.
About the role:
The social content strategist role sits within the social media team at JL-within the smaller sub team of organic content, community, advocacy and influencers.
We are looking for a creative social strategist to join us in the JL social team. You will be responsible for helping to shape our social content strategy. The role is a great mix of creativity and strategy, as you will be pulling together the overall strategic direction for our social channels alongside helping to ideate and develop content briefs. We are looking for someone who is comfortable with both thinking creatively and strategically (you should be comfortable with both ideation and understanding audience/social data to create a clear strategic vision of what JL social stands for).
What will you be doing?
You will manage briefs between the social teams and the internal content teams, in addition to external production agencies.
You will ideate and support on the development of creative concepts, manage key milestones within the response to brief e.g. storyboard approvals, ensure all content is on brand and meets the brief requirements and manage the budget and the production process.
Excellent knowledge of social platforms, experience in writing and delivering social strategy, shooting social media content, paid media and influencer marketing is highly desirable and an ability to demonstrate understanding of how to optimise and measure campaigns to given KPIs is required. You will have a knack for creating and curating great content, in line with content calendars and wider marketing plans. You will have ownership over certain organic channel strategies, so experience in building out social strategies using data-led insight is key.
You will have the expertise for creating great content, in line with content calendars and wider marketing plans. You will be a first-class communicator and have the ability and credibility to build relationships at all levels.
Key responsibilities:
Develop social content ideas and work alongside / manage agencies to produce best in class work.
Support the step by step project process, ensuring that all deadlines and milestones are met by all parties.
Develop and deliver organic content strategies that support overall social media strategy for the business.
Manage multiple internal stakeholders, obtaining approval or edit / amends of content and feeding back to relevant parties.
Support the development of content briefs that include actionable KPI’s.
Report on impact of campaigns, using insight to inform future activity.
Deliver effective presentations to both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsible for supporting budgeting and forecasting. Actively seeks to increase commercial awareness and is able to use this to provide context and advice on business proposals.

Essential skills you’ll need:
Digital and social campaign planning and activation - experience with reviewing and responding to briefs, developing ideas and concepts and then creating activation timelines and working across key social channels.
Creative thinking - delivering inspiring and relevant content that is channel centric, utilising formats and different aesthetic styles to tell engaging stories.
Content production - The ability to work alongside videographers/photographers and producers to ensure we get social first content
Experience of insight analysis and content testing - looking at performance via platform and 3rd party tools
Multiple stakeholder management - strong levels of communication required for presenting to, reporting to and influencing multiple stakeholders.
Desirable skills you’ll have:
£500K+ budget ownership
Experience leading, coaching and developing individuals
Online experience within retail
Marketing/Business related degree or equivalent experience
