The Opportunity
Our client, a high-growth SME within the Apparel and Footwear space, is seeking an experienced Email Marketing & CRM Manager to support a pivotal phase of its growth. This interim role is focused on executing an established strategy and contributing to the continued development of digital marketing operations, specifically CRM and email marketing. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to own the day-to-day management of the email service provider (ESP) and help shape the digital future of a fast-paced organisation.
This role requires an immediate available starter and ideally someone who has previous experience working with Klaviyo and Shopify.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Strategy and Campaign Execution: Own the email marketing calendar and collaborate with eCommerce and Marketing teams to deliver impactful campaigns and automations. Manage the full end-to-end campaign process, including planning, building, testing, and execution.
- Content Creation and Storytelling: Work closely with Marketing and Creative teams to develop engaging campaigns with compelling content, subject lines, and visuals. Help refine how the brand communicates with its audiences across various contexts.
- Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and report on key metrics such as opens, clicks, conversions, revenue, and unsubscribes. Use data insights to inform decision-making and optimise campaigns.
- Segmentation and Personalisation: Leverage data to define audience segments and create tailored experiences based on customer behaviours and preferences.
- Deliverability and Compliance: Ensure high deliverability rates and adherence to data privacy regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA. Stay informed on changes in email sending laws, ISP behaviour, and spam filtering practices.
- Lifecycle Marketing: Develop and execute campaigns that guide customers through the purchase journey, from acquisition to retention. Implement strategies to maximise customer lifetime value.
- Community Engagement: Collaborate with the Community & Events team to align email efforts with broader community-building initiatives and capture valuable customer data.
- Testing and Optimisation: Lead A/B testing initiatives, maintain a testing roadmap, and use results to refine campaigns. Test elements like subject lines, content, CTAs, and sending times to drive performance improvements.
- Technology and Best Practices: Serve as the in-house expert on the ESP platform. Advocate for email marketing best practices while exploring emerging technologies in the eCommerce landscape.
What We’re Looking For
- Experienced Professional: Around 3+ years of experience in eCommerce email marketing and CRM, with a proven track record of delivering results.
- Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with Klaviyo, particularly in integration with Shopify, is highly desirable.
- Adaptable and Agile: Background in small, fast-paced environments is ideal. Comfortable with managing multiple priorities and shifting demands.
- Innovative Mindset: Able to bring specialist knowledge to a team eager to approach marketing differently.
- Self-Starter: Highly motivated, autonomous, and ready to take ownership of this area.
- Collaborative and Strategic: Enthusiastic about working cross-functionally to achieve shared goals.
